Trick or Treat

Smell my feet, give me something good to eat!
Although she wont admit it, I think October 31st is going to be one of Carsyn's favorite days!!! That girl LOVESSSSS candy. It doesn't matter what kind, what flavor, soft or hard- she loves it all. Cam has never been real big on candy and never asked for it. Carsyn on the other hand will eat the candy and the wrapper it is in! She has been eating candy for days it seems like. I finally had to hide it all so she couldn't find it. My idea was "out of sight, out of mind." We will see how long this last.
Growing up, we always dressed up for Halloween. My favorite costume was of course homemade and I was always a punk rocker. Teased hair, spray glitter, demin skirt, and all the other accessories needed to make my outfit ROCK! My mom and my aunt always dressed up and got pleasure out of scaring people. Living in the country, we hardly ever had trick or treaters so we always Trick or Treated and back then they didn't have "Fall Festivals" to attend so we had to be creative.  After moving to the big city of Dothan and into a neighborhood we quickly got a dose of what Trick or Treating was all about.  Our first year we were not prepared. Our second year, we were not prepared either. I think I can honestly say we are prepared now for the hundreds and hundreds of people that take over our neighborhood. Camden has never been a big Trick or Treater until this year. She has always been scared of anything and everything and she never cared to much about going door to door to get candy so we didn't make her. We would sit on the front porch and watch the people walk by while my mom and Aunt Kerri would pass out candy.  This year was a new year!!! We had new trick or treater friends to join us and I think they had a blast. Carsyn was so excited that she was eating candy as she was going door to door. Anna Mark would only stop whining when she was sucking on a sucker and Mary Suzan and Camden were running so fast that I think Mary Suzan lost her candy at one point in the grass!

The girls had a blast and they were absolutely precious in their costumes!
Side note: My mom decided that she would dress up this year and pass out candy! We fixed her up a little area in front of the garage and she was a big hit. Some were scared and some were not. The girls helped her pass out candy to the children that were too afraid to come too close.
